Our original bentwood lunch boxes (finished in Japan) now feature a cat design.
This bento box is made of bent cedar wood, showcasing its natural grain. The box absorbs excess moisture from the rice, and as the rice evaporates over time, the moisture from the box returns to the rice, keeping it fluffy and preventing it from hardening. It's a superb item that gains character the more you use it.
[Material] Natural wood (cedar), urethane coating (Made in China, finished in Japan). The bento boxes, finished with urethane coating at our partner factory in China, undergo final adjustments and urethane coating at our Fujishiro Kogeisha manufacturing division, a company with approximately 80 years of history, to further improve quality. Includes two types of dividers (T-shaped divider, I-shaped divider).
[Care Instructions] Gently wash with your preferred mild detergent, remove excess water with a dry cloth, and then allow to air dry.
[Precautions] Do not use in a microwave, dishwasher, or dish dryer. Also, due to the nature of this bentwood product, which is handmade, there is some extra room in the lid and dividers. Please enjoy the wood grain as part of the natural wood's character.

Characteristics of a Wappa Bento
- The rice stays soft even when it cools down and absorbs excess moisture, allowing you to enjoy rice with a pleasant texture.
Simply packing your usual side dishes into a bento box transforms them into something much more visually appealing and luxurious!
・It's very lightweight, so it's easy to carry around.
Compared to plastic lunch boxes, they don't trap moisture as easily, so your lunch is less likely to spoil.
What does "finished in Japan" mean...?
To improve quality, the bento boxes, which are finished with urethane coating at our partner factory in China, undergo final adjustments and urethane coating at our own workshop.
☆Our bento boxes are imported and then finished in Japan.
We use safe and reliable paints that are certified to meet food hygiene standards.
By finishing the products domestically, we are able to deliver more durable and high-quality products at reasonable prices.
About care
Wash gently with your usual mild detergent and wipe dry with a clean, dry cloth.
Afterward, let it air dry in a well-ventilated area. (When drying, please lay it face up.)
Before purchasing
Please note that this product cannot be used in a microwave, dishwasher, or dryer.
(Please refrain from using refrigerators or warming devices, as this can damage the bento box.)
[Regarding partitions]
The dividers are made smaller than the main body to prevent damage to the main body due to the expansion and contraction of the wood.
When using, please fill the container with rice or other food first, and then add the container on top.
[About the lid]
Like the dividers, the lid is made larger to prevent scratching the main body. There will be a gap of about 1 cm between the lid and the main body, but this is by design, so please understand. When using the lunch box, please attach the lunch band for carrying.
[About wood grain]
Because these products are made from natural wood, each item will have a unique grain pattern, differing from the sample photos. The grain and color will vary greatly. We ask for your understanding that this is part of the beauty of nature.
★Our wooden bento boxes are made with care, emphasizing a handmade feel and rustic charm. While they may not be as perfectly neat and tidy as plastic bento boxes, we hope you appreciate this as part of the unique character of wooden lunch boxes.
