Taylor Made Stealth 2
In the spring of 1979, a golf equipment salesman named Gary Adams took out a $24,000 loan to his home and founded the TaylorMade Golf Company. He rented a 6,000-square-foot building that had previously housed a television assembly plant. He counted three employees and one innovative product: the 12-degree cast stainless steel driver. This metal wood looked and sounded different from wooden woods, and most importantly, it performed differently. The perimeter weighting of the clubhead increased forgiveness on mishits, and the low center of gravity made it easier to get the ball airborne. Adams, the son of a professional golfer, was determined that TaylorMade clubs would maintain the look and feel of a real golf club and a connection with true golfers. They combined innovation and reliability, always remained passionate about the game, and pledged to be competitive. They worked hard to establish and grow themselves. These four beliefs have led them far. The same values that Gary Adams chose 30 years ago still hold true for TaylorMade today.
Respected and practiced at e, adidas Golf, and Ashworth, we continue to provide products that help players of all skill levels reach their full potential. Since 1979, our mission has remained unchanged: to create the world's best-performing golf products.
