Air Jordan 5 Retro Premium 'Take Flight' (Unisex) Sequoia / Metallic Gold-Vachetta Tan-Sequoia Vintage Basketball Shoes 881432 305

The Air Jordan 5 was masterfully designed by Tinker Hatfield and is widely regarded as the most aesthetically striking model in the Air Jordan series. Its design draws inspiration from the paint scheme of the P-51 Mustang fighter aircraft, with shark-tooth patterns the midsole’s side—enhancing the shoe’s aggressive appearance and visual distinctiveness, perfectly matching Michael Jordan’s dominant and explosive playing style. The decorative midsole treatment also exerted a profound influence subsequent basketball shoe design. Mesh material replaces leather the shoe’s lateral side, reducing weight while improving support. The model also debuted several iconic features: translucent crystal rubber outsoles, 3M reflective material the tongue, and lace locks—each contributing to its unique and enduring legacy.
