Like its predecessor, it retains the unique low-noise power supply design and coupling capacitor-less design, while further improving reliability and sound quality through the use of high-quality components, and also features a digital filter switching function. [Improvements from the previous model FX-01A] ■ High-quality capacitors in the power supply section The power supply decoupling capacitors have been standardized to Panasonic electrolytic capacitors with the same capacitance, improving reliability and stability. ■ High-quality components are in the output filter section. While it already boasts high sound quality due to its output coupling design, the output filter section further reduces sound distortion by using MELF-type metal film resistors. Furthermore, the capacitors have been changed from multilayer ceramic capacitors to Panasonic's ECHU (multilayer metallized PPS film capacitors), which are highly regarded for audio applications, resulting in further improvements in sound quality. ■ Equipped with a switch to change the digital filter calculation method inside the DAC. The unit allows you to switch between two types of filters: infinite impulse response (IIR) and finite impulse response (FIR), using a button switch on the unit. You can freely choose the filter best suited to your sound source and system, and expect further improvements in sound quality. *Please refer to the notes.* You will need to reconnect the USB cable after switching the switch.
