Careful selection of parts A highly versatile USB Type-C power input connector Supports operation on mobile devices and some game consoles. FX-AUDIO- DAC-T3J: Integrated DAC with headphone amplifier and tone control preamplifier, supports 3 digital inputs, and is Hi-Res compatible. Integrated DAC with headphone amplifier and tone control preamplifier, 3 digital inputs, and Hi-Res audio support. FX-AUDIO- DAC-T3J For the heart of the system, we've chosen the high-performance, highly regarded ESS Technology "ES9018K2M" DAC IC, which is compatible with high-resolution audio! Utilizing an IC with a proven track record in performance-oriented professional audio equipment and a strong reputation for sound quality, this device achieves excellent sound separation across the entire frequency range, resulting in high-resolution and clear sound quality. The headphone amplifier uses the high-performance headphone amplifier IC "MAX97220," achieving high sound quality with excellent THD+N characteristics across the entire frequency range, even with low-voltage operation. It features a tone control function, allowing you to adjust the balance of high and low frequencies to suit the sound source and your preferences. The RCA output is also volume-controlled, making this an integrated DAC that can be as a DAC, tone control preamplifier, and headphone amplifier all in one unit. By connecting it to a simple power amplifier with only analog inputs, you can add digital conversion, 3-input switching, tone control, and headphone amplifier functions. This item allows you to add functions to the DAC that are not present in the amplifier, expanding the range of applications for the entire system. It supports PCs, mobile operating systems (Android/iOS), and even some game consoles (PlayStation)! The power connector uses a highly versatile USB Type-C connector, so you can use your existing adapter and cable without having to purchase a separate AC adapter. This eliminates the cost of purchasing a separate AC adapter, allowing you to utilize any spare USB adapters or cables you may have. *If you do not have these, please purchase them separately. *This product is a DAC with a built-in preamplifier function, so unlike typical DACs, the RCA output is linked to the volume control. *The RCA output automatically stops when headphones are plugged in. [Product Features] ■High-performance DAC IC "ES9018K2M" For the D/A converter IC, I the "ES9018K2M" from ESS Technology. Utilizing an IC with a proven track record in performance-oriented professional audio equipment and a strong reputation for sound quality, this device achieves excellent sound separation across the entire frequency range, resulting in high-resolution and clear sound quality. Please experience the realism that makes the sound image seem to float right before your eyes. ■ Equipped with tone control preamplifier It features tone control functionality, allowing you to adjust the treble and bass frequencies to your preferred sound quality with just this one device. Furthermore, the RCA output is volume-linked, allowing it to be as both a DAC and a preamplifier. ■ High-resolution audio compatible All digital inputs support bitrates up to 24-bit/192kHz. ■ Use "MAX97220" as the headphone amplifier IC The "MAX97220" offers excellent THD+N characteristics across the entire frequency range, even when driven at low voltage. Featuring a coupling capacitor-less design, it achieves a neutral, flat, and responsive high-quality sound. ■ Careful selection of parts Audio-grade components are for the coupling capacitors in the I/V conversion section and the subsequent tone control section, and MELF-type resistors, known for their superior sound quality, are in the headphone output section. Components that affect sound quality have been carefully selected. ■A highly versatile USB Type-C power input connector The highly versatile USB Type-C connector, which is rapidly gaining popularity, is as the power input connector. You can easily connect your existing AC-USB adapter or mobile device as a power source. ■Supports operation on mobile devices and some game consoles. It supports operation on mobile devices with compatible operating systems, such as smartphones and tablets, and on some game consoles (PlayStation only). [Main IC Specifications] ■DAC IC: ESS Technology “ES9018K2M” ■Headphone amplifier IC: Analog Devices "MAX97220" ■ Differential converter operational amplifier: Texas Instruments "NE5532" (DIP) [Notes] *The USB Type-C connector is for power supply only. It cannot be for USB digital signal input, so please use the Type-B connector for USB connections. *This device does not support bus power operation, so please be sure to connect the USB Type-C connector to a USB port capable of supplying power using a cable. *Whether or not high-resolution signals can be transmitted depends on the hardware and software specifications of the device connected as a playback device. While this product itself is Hi-Res compatible, Hi-Res playback will not be possible if the connected device or software does not support the transmission of Hi-Res signals.
