The "Okazome" technique involves painting on a pre-fired white clay body with cobalt-based paints, and then firing it again in a kiln at the world's highest temperature of approximately 1460 degrees Celsius. This process causes the paints to sink into the glaze, creating a unique, deep, indigo blue color. This technique is particularly effective on Okura Art China's world-renowned white porcelain. Because the paints are dissolved into the glaze, the surface is glossy and smooth. You can use it with confidence for a long time without it changing.
