This handcrafted vessel is made from beech wood sourced from the natural forests of Japan, dried for approximately six months, and carefully carved one by one by artisans in Odawara. The cutting tools used in the carving process are also handmade by the artisans, with no compromise on quality – every product embodies the maker’s dedication. The finish uses a safe urethane coating, the same as used for school lunch bowls in Odawara. It is named “terra,” meaning “earth” in Italian, reflecting the earthy tone that makes the colors of vegetables – green, yellow, and red – stand out beautifully. Use it not only for soup, but also as a salad bowl. This generously sized vessel enhances the appeal of your dishes and complements Western-style cuisine.
