Aizome Tussar & Nassi Silk Stole 100% Wild Silk Handwoven Stole
This stole is hand-woven from Tussar silk, a wild Indian silkworm.
Typical silks are kept indoors and grow by eating mulberry leaves, but these Tussar silkworms are wild silkworms that grew up in forests where they were constantly exposed to wind and rain and were at risk of being targeted by natural enemies.
Compared to silk made from domestic silkworms, it is more effective at repelling ultraviolet rays, and has strong natural deodorizing and antibacterial properties.
Even if it rains a little, the stole will shed the rainwater.
Shiny raw silk made from such Tussar silkworms,
The thread spun by hand after breaking through the cocoon and taking off,
In the last photo, you can see the dangling tail of the Tussar silkworm, and Narsee yarn is made by loosening it and making it into thread.
Nashi is a yarn with a soft texture similar to wool.
It was woven by combining these three types of threads.
Finished with a rustic, firm, and uniquely textured stole.
Even though it's 100% silk, it has a crisp and wool-like feel that doesn't look like your typical silk stole.
Even if you use it for 5 or 10 years, it will not deteriorate much.
Also, strangely enough, it rarely gets dirty and doesn't smell when you use it.
Therefore, it is so strong that you almost never feel the need to wash it.
It also has great natural deodorizing and antifouling properties.
Another characteristic of wild silkworms is that they are difficult to dye even if you try to dye them.
Indigo dyeing, which is made from 100% natural pigments found in nature, has the effect of protecting your skin from UV rays.
It also has antibacterial and deodorizing effects, so even those with sensitive skin can use it with confidence.
After using it, soak it in hot water and massage it once.
You can see the water turning yellow and the indigo scum coming out.
This is proof that microorganisms are working.
Of course, you can use this product without any problems even if you do not wash it with hot water.
This stole is not lined, so you can wash it yourself using detergent for fashionable wear.
Please hand wash it yourself, iron it at high temperature, and use it for casual everyday use.
Approximately 42×160cm
This is a genuine hand-woven stole.
There are occasional weaving scratches etc.
The thickness of the thread is also not uniform.
It may feel stiff.
Please note that this is a wild silkworm.
