How to Use:
How to use: Open the cover and wipe the test prism carefully with a soft cloth. Take several drops of the solution to be measured, place it on the test prism, gently close the cover to avoid air bubbles, so that the solution spreads over the prism surface. Align the instrument into the light source or bright place, the eye through the eyepiece to observe the field of view, turn the eyepiece adjustment handwheel, so that the field of view of the blue and white dividing line clear. The scale value of the demarcation line is the concentration of the solution.Calibration and temperature correction:The instrument needs to be calibrated for 0 point before measurement. Take a few drops of distilled water, put it on the detection prism, and twist the 0 adjustment screw to adjust the demarcation line to the 0% position of the scale. Then wipe the detection prism and perform the test. Some models of instruments need to configure standard solution instead of distilled water when calibrating. Another method is (only suitable for the determination of sugar content): using the temperature correction table, the value read at ambient temperature plus (or minus) the temperature correction value to obtain the exact value.
