[Product Description]
【Contents】The Thunderbird, introduced in 1955 as a two-seater specialty car by Ford. Starting from the second generation in 1958, it became a four-seater, and during the 4th and 5th generations (1967–1971), four-door models were also available.
The Hot Wheels model is based on the ninth generation, which featured a departure from the traditional boxy style to a rounded aerodynamic form.
This model is modified to resemble a Pro Stock class car, which competes in races over a quarter mile (about 400 meters) using naturally aspirated engines without turbochargers or superchargers, rather than a standard version. From 1985 to 1987, driver Bob Glidden won national races with this car. It features an air scoop to increase airflow to the engine.
The coloring is inspired by the Pro Stock-style modifications popular in the 1980s, giving it a street-style finish.
