A Collection of Nostalgic Showa-Era Ultraman Bonus Items!
Back in the Showa era, bookstores were piled high with boys' magazines and school-grade magazines overflowing with bonus items. Each magazine competed to offer the most extravagant bonus items, and Shogakukan's school-grade magazines, which incorporated the trends and topics of the time into their bonuses, sold like hotcakes. Following the second baby boom, school-grade magazines flourished, and the January 1973 issue of "Shogaku Ichinensei" (First Grade Elementary School) recorded 1.28 million copies sold. This was a remarkable achievement, meaning 70% of all first-grade elementary school students at the time purchased it.
This book comprehensively features the assembly bonus items from the Ultraman series included during the golden age of bonus items. Along with photographs of the assembled bonus items, excerpts from articles in the respective issues, next-issue previews, and bonus item box art are also included, allowing readers to experience the atmosphere of that time firsthand.
