"A Vision of the 1970s Future: Rado Modernism."
We are proud to present the Rado "Rising Star" Ref.11894/1, an automatic timepiece that perfectly encapsulates the avant-garde spirit of the 1970s. As the name suggests, the Rising Star series was launched as an ambitious collection aimed at the young professionals of the era and those seeking modern design that broke away from traditional conventions.
The stainless steel cushion case is a masterclass in "Space Age" aesthetics, offering a substantial presence at 36mm. It features a striking 3-faceted crystal that catches the light from every angle, transforming this functional timepiece into a wearable piece of art.
The silver dial is accented with three-dimensional indices and broad baton hands. The vibrant red date display at 3 o'clock provides a sharp contrast, while the iconic rotating anchor logo—the hallmark of Rado—sits proudly at 12 o'clock.
Powering this watch is the Cal. 2782 (25 Jewels), a reliable ETA-based movement finished with Rado’s signature gold plating. This particular unit has just completed a full overhaul in March 2026. It comes with a formal repair report from a professional watchmaker, ensuring the highest level of mechanical condition and peace of mind for any vintage enthusiast.
Completed with a genuine Rado multi-link bracelet, this "Old Rado" collection represents a perfect trifecta of iconic design, practicality, and meticulous maintenance.
