The construction is exquisite and it is made to fit snugly to the muffler outlet. "The silencer pipe is made of rust-resistant stainless steel, and the parts other than the pipe and the adjustment parts are made of plated steel." The adjustment part is a rotating slide type, and the nuts that secure the fixing bolts are lock nuts to prevent loosening. There is a fixing bolt attached to the bottom of the silencer, so it can be fixed in place by aligning it with the hole in the muffler outlet, and there is no risk of accidents due to it falling off. Several sizes are available, so please be sure to measure the inner diameter of your car's muffler with calipers or similar before purchasing. If you purchase without measuring, it will not be possible to install it, so we do not recommend purchasing based on the diameter of your muffler. For measuring, if using a ruler, place it precisely against the inner diameter of the hole where the muffler outlet will be inserted and measure the point where the measurement is largest. This silencer is perfectly round. Rotate the ruler 90 degrees from the point you just measured and confirm that the dimensions are the same. Also, confirm that there is approximately 2 cm of clearance in the parallel direction from where it is inserted. The total length is 17 cm. It will not normally touch, but it is possible to shorten the length for installation (as it is a general-purpose product). Measure the length and depth by inserting a ruler. Installation instructions: ① Before installation, hold the thinner pipe side of the silencer and check if it fits smoothly into the muffler outlet. If it is loose, wrap it with commercially available aluminum tape. ② Tighten the screw on the volume adjustment plate as much as possible by hand. If it is loose, it will make a rattling sound. ③ Apply lubricant or grease to the outer circumference of the silencer (or the inside of the muffler) to make it easier to insert. Optional ④ Align the bolt at the bottom of the silencer so that it faces downwards towards the muffler and push it in. ⑤ If it's a little stiff and won't go in, use a wooden hammer or place a piece of cardboard against the silencer to gently push it in.
It will go in with a gentle tap. ⑥ In cold weather, warming up the muffler until it's slightly warm will enlarge the hole and make it easier to insert. *If it doesn't fit during the test fit in step ①, stop the installation without forcing it. It may become difficult to remove or cause damage. Please measure before purchasing and follow the installation procedure when making your selection.
