The evil scientist Dr. Wily has completed his forbidden research and is once again threatening the peaceful robot society! What he has completed is the "Double Gear System." It is a device that dramatically increases the capabilities of robots, but due to its extremely high performance and dangerous nature, the research was frozen, and it is the device that caused the conflict between Dr. Light and Dr. Wily. In order to counter the situation, Dr. Light decides to incorporate a prototype of the "Double Gear System" that Dr. Wily created into Mega Man. Will Mega Man be able to stop Dr. Wily's ambitions!? The gears of fate are now beginning to turn once again!
This game offers a wide range of difficulty settings, making it enjoyable for both beginners and advanced players alike to experience the thrill of conquering a 2D action game. From "NEW COMER," which features lower enemy health and helps prevent instant deaths from terrain traps or falls, to "ADVANCED," perfect for series veterans who have been away for a while, and "ORIGINAL SPEC," for current players, and even "EXPERT," offering a more challenging experience than previous titles, a rich variety of difficulty settings are available.
You can enjoy an action game with high-definition graphics that resemble illustrations and smooth movement made possible by a high frame rate. However, the gameplay feel has been thoroughly tuned to provide quick response, just like the "pixel art" of previous titles. Signature actions such as charge shots and sliding are also still present.
