These forged tent pegs are made by heating round steel to approximately 1100°C until it's red-hot, and then crushing the cross-section into an oval shape with a powerful force of approximately 1 ton. Applying strong pressure to the heated steel creates a peg with superior strength.

While regular round pegs tend to spin around in the ground, making them inconvenient to use, these oval pegs penetrate well even into hard ground mixed with gravel and stones, and securely fix the tent without spinning.

Furthermore, the material is designed to be thicker in the direction of rope tension, ensuring exceptional strength. The areas where the rope touches are trimmed to prevent burrs that could cut the rope, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.

We've added these earth-toned colors in response to requests for stylish pegs that match earth-toned tents! It features a cationic electrodeposition coating for excellent rust prevention, and is finished with olive and beige powder coating. At 184mm in length, it's a convenient size for use as an inner tent or picnic blanket.
