The Kenko PRO1D smart Variable NDX II filter is a variable-density ND filter that instantly adjusts for significant changes in brightness during a single shot or for differences in light intensity caused by scene transitions during video recording. It performs the function of multiple ND filters with a single filter, offering excellent cost performance! It eliminates bulk and the hassle of filter replacement. Compared to the previous model (PRO1D smart Variable NDX), the PRO1D smart Variable NDX II boasts improved glass flatness for improved resolution. Furthermore, when used at a focal length of 24mm, it achieves up to ND32 equivalent without X-shaped unevenness (depending on the lens used). The PRO1D smart Variable NDX II is coated with a water- and oil-repellent coating for outdoor use. Water and dirt can be easily wiped off. [Product Features] 1. A variable ND filter that quickly adjusts light intensity. This filter is extremely useful for adjusting differences in light intensity that occur when lighting conditions change significantly during a single shot or when switching scenes during video or movie shooting. 2. Prevents overexposure/bloated highlights. Even when shooting outdoors in midsummer, shooting at full aperture with a large-aperture lens such as F1.4 or F1.2 can result in overexposure/bloated highlights, even at a shutter speed of 1/8000 second. The PRO1D smart Variable NDX allows you to flexibly adjust the amount of light reduction depending on the shooting conditions, ensuring accurate exposure. 3. Water- and oil-repellent coating and digital multi-coating prevent water, dirt, and diffuse reflections! The coating reduces water droplets, dirt, and diffuse reflections, which can be particularly disruptive when shooting outdoors. *Due to design limitations, the lens mounting diameter and cap mounting diameter differ. *The intensity of the X-shaped unevenness varies depending on the lens's focal length and optical design.
