Woody Joe 1/50 Golden Hind Wooden Model Assembly Kit
The Golden Hind was built in England in 1577.
As the Spanish-style painting on the stern suggests, its name means "golden hind," and its purpose was privateering: plundering Spanish colonies, attacking treasure ships, and disrupting trade routes.
Captain Francis Drake, whose turbulent voyage saw him circumnavigate the globe, committing acts of plunder, earned him a knighthood from the Queen upon his return to England.
This kit features a fully-equipped keel-frame hull with mahogany exterior and teak deck.
It's constructed primarily from high-precision laser-cut wooden components, along with metal-etched and soft metal parts, faithfully recreating the unique hull of a 16th-century galleon.
Includes 15 types of laser-cut wooden components, 35 types of wooden components, 23 types of metal components, and 9 other components.
