Furthermore, Cladex is manufactured using a different principle than other composite materials. It is explosively bonded, not crimped.
Explosive bonding involves joining two different metals with wedge-like interlocking surfaces using the powerful explosive force of gunpowder. This ensures that the material will not peel even under the harsh conditions required for professional use, such as rapid heating and cooling.
