Introduction
[Standard Edition][2SHM-CD]
Celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Rolling Stones' #2 UK and #1 US album, "The Tattooed Man" is being reissued in an expanded, multi-format edition!
This newly remastered album features nine additional previously unreleased tracks recorded during the same period.
The 40th Anniversary Edition of "The Tattooed Man" includes remasters of the album's 11 original tracks, including "Hang Fire," "Waiting on a Friend" (featuring jazz saxophone virtuoso Sonny Rollins),
and, of course, "Start Me Up," which has become one of the band's signature songs since its release.
The 2-CD set includes "Lost & Found: Rarities."
"Lost & Found: Rarities" features nine tracks originally written for the album's release.
The tracks have been enhanced with new vocals and guitar work by the band. "Living in the Heart of Love" is one such track, a quintessential Stones rock number of the era. It showcases their first-rate performance, featuring a lively guitar riff and exquisite piano.
Also featured on "Lost & Found: Rarities" is a stunning version of "Shame, Shame, Shame," recorded in 1963 by one of the band's blues heroes, Jimmy Reed,
as well as their take on Dobie Gray's soul gem "Drift Away," and a reggae-infused version of "Start Me Up."
