The Mazume waist bag is equipped with Velcro so that this inflatable life jacket can be attached. By attaching it to the waist bag, it can be worn more compactly.
Haruki Robert. While this name may sound unfamiliar, it's the name of the manufacturer of this important device that saves anglers' lives. In fact, only Haruki Robert's products meet the UL standard, the strictest safety standards in the world.
The reason we chose Haruki Robert's inflation devices... is because of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, which authorizes ship inspections in Japan. The equivalent inspection agency is the CE standard in Europe and the UL standard in the United States. Of these, the UL standard is the most difficult to obtain, and the only UL-certified inflatable life jacket inflation device is made by Halcyon Robert.
This means that Halcyon Robert's inflation device is the safest in the world. However, it goes without saying that using this inflation device is expensive. Of course, that's also why other manufacturers haven't adopted it... Mazume chose the Halcyon Robert inflation device not only to popularize inflatable life jackets, but also to pursue true safety for anglers.
There's also a by-product of using this inflation device. The device's weight is light, so the side to which the device is attached no longer slips off. This not only looks nice, but also allows you to move around without worrying about it slipping off while fishing.
The pouch type is the only manual type, and it can be worn compactly for urban side fishing, where people previously felt the need for a life jacket but didn't wear one.
