We commissioned the "Japan Violet Research Society," established in 1973, to select and supervise the flower species for this lovely cup and saucer. The teacup, with its flared rim resembling a blooming flower, can also be enjoyed as a sherbet cup. The saucer is printed with the series name and flower name. The final piece in the series is the "Violet," a representative species among the many violets, as its name suggests. Its deep purple color, often called "violet color," makes it a familiar and widely loved flower.
