Daiwa 24IM Z TW 200 Baitcasting Reel! A baitcasting reel that adapts to your fishing style and continues to grow with you. The next-generation IM Z baitcasting reel series features expandability through reel updates via the DAIWA Connecting System. The new 200 series debuts. The goal in developing the 200 series spool was to incorporate all the characteristics of the DAIWA MAGFORCE brake system. We examined spool characteristics based on not only the LC concept but also the SV concept, and even the ultra-long-distance casting style when using PE line. Specifically, we adjusted the weight balance of each spool unit when the line was wound, and developed a new inductor rotor shape. This significant differentiation from the ultra-long-distance casting performance aimed for with the LIMITBREAKER spool resulted in a wide lure range, from approximately 10g to 110g (4oz), and ease of use and stable casting performance despite the large φ38mm spool. This is the first in the IM Z series to feature a gear ratio of 7.3 (87cm per handle rotation). The 90mm aluminum handle, designed for reeling fishing, is the first to feature the new high-grip I-shape power large knob (S). Its high-level basic performance is fully equipped with "HYPERDRIVE DESIGN," "TWS," "DAIWA CONNECTING-SYSTEM," and "INTELLIGENT MAGFORCE." Regardless of the fish species or whether it's freshwater or saltwater, you can confidently take on monster fish. The 200-C series also supports the DAIWA CONNECTING-SYSTEM. In addition to the four basic brake modes, if you earn badges for "5 fishing trips" and "10.0 km total casting distance" (if you meet the installation requirements), you'll also be able to use the "PE Long Cast" feature, which will be released on October 30, 2023. Stable flight posture of jointed baits! I encourage you to try casting a jointed big bait with spinning tackle. You'll be shocked by the sensation of it flying so little, and then landing right in front of you. When developing the big bait mode, I realized the importance of line tension during casting. The first prototype I tried, in brake mode, was prone to line slack, and honestly, I thought, "That's about right." So, when I requested that the line slack be reduced immediately after casting, the brake control was immediately adjusted on the PC, and the big bait, with its unstable flight posture, was sent out smoothly. This led to the story at the beginning, and I became convinced that "excess line slack causes line tension to drop, disrupting the flight posture and resulting in poor flight." After repeated adjustments, I finally achieved a control system that slightly tugs on the lure during the cast. This is precisely where the benefits of baitcasting tackle lie. Overcoming the issues with flight posture also resulted in increased casting distance as a by-product. Naturally, that's what you'd expect. Furthermore, it also prevents the line from getting tangled on the hook when it hits the water, and has been designed to have a brake mode that is essential for making that crucial shot.
