FineMolds 1/35 Military Series Imperial Japanese Army Type 1 Medium Tank Chi-He Plastic Model Kit MR04 The Type 1 Medium Tank [Chi-He] was developed as the main battle tank of the Japanese Army, following the Type 97 Medium Tank [Chi-Ha]. While based on the Type 97 Medium Tank, the hull construction shifted from a rivet-centric structure to one using more welding, and the armor thickness was increased from a maximum of 25mm to 50mm. The engine was also upgraded from 170 horsepower to 240 horsepower, and it was equipped with a Type 1 47mm tank gun. The tracks are made of plastic and are glue-assembly type, allowing for realistic sag. The main gun also features a reproduced breech. Seven types of markings for vehicles deployed domestically are reproduced. Meticulous research was conducted and reflected in the kit and instruction manual. Safety Warnings
