Equipped with the Cirrus Logic CS43198 for high-quality sound: The EH1's DAC section uses the high-quality CS43198 DAC from Cirrus Logic, which delivers pure, superior audio performance. The combination of SHANLING's engineers' excellent tuning techniques and outstanding D/A performance delivers high-fidelity, comfortable sound.
Fully Balanced Headphone Amplifier Circuit Design: The EH1 features two SG Micro SGM8262-2 op-amps in the headphone amplifier circuit, and carefully selected capacitors—SAMYOUNG 47μF x 4, Panasonic FC/47μF x 8, and ELNA Silmic II/47μF x 5—distributed throughout the circuit. This enhances the EH1's driving force while delivering a natural, warm, and soft sound with powerful output.
[6.35mm + 4.4mm Connection, Two-Stage Gain, High/Low Tone Control] The EH1 is a compact desktop DAC/AMP with 6.35mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced outputs, supporting a wide range of headphones, from full-size earphones to earphones, even with demanding driving power. With a high output power of 1015mW@32Ω (4.4mm balanced output) and 399mW@32Ω (single-ended), it offers two gain settings (High/Low) and tone controls (Bass/High), making it ideal for a wide range of applications, from music to video and gaming.
[Supports low- and high-frequency tone control for greater sonic flexibility] The EH1 is equipped with a tone control chip that supports physical gain adjustment for the high and low frequencies, which can be adjusted directly using the knobs on the front panel. This allows you to tailor the sound to suit your tastes, or to tailor the sound to your preferences for content such as videos and games.
[High-Performance USB Chipset with Hi-Res Support] The EH1 features a high-performance USB chipset and is equipped with a USB Type-C input that supports sampling rates of PCM 768kHz/32bit and DSD512, ensuring connectivity with a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
[Dual power supply system: USB bus power and external DC power supply] The EH1 supports two power supply modes. Powering it from the DC 5V terminal via the included USB to DC cable maximizes the stability and sound potential of the EH1. In addition, the USB-C terminal used for digital signal input supports bus-powered connections, allowing for a simpler connection without the need for an external power supply. This gives the EH1 high versatility, optimized for different situations and user needs, and enables seamless connection with smartphones, tablets, PCs, and more.
[Equipped with RCA output, supports line out/pre-out] The EH1 supports line out and pre-amp out via the RCA terminal on the back, so it can be connected to a power amplifier or active speakers and used as a combined pre-amp.The line out function allows it to function as a pure D/A, and it can also be used in combination with an external headphone amplifier.
[UAC1.0 Compatible Gaming DAC Mode for an Immersive Sound Experience] The EH1 operates in UAC1.0 when connected while pressing and holding the Gain button on the unit. Support for UAC1.0 means it can be connected to home game consoles and other devices. You can enjoy your favorite games and video content with even more immersive sound.
[Equipped with a sampling indicator] The colorfully lit indicator located around the volume control dial changes color in conjunction with the sampling rate being played and the EH1's status, allowing you to quickly grasp the operating status of the EH1.
[Coaxial digital output support] The EH1 supports coaxial digital output via USB digital input, allowing it to be used as a high-quality digital source for external DAC devices, home audio systems, Hi-Fi components, and more.
The SHANLING EH1 features a new chassis design, featuring a sleek aluminum body and available in two colors: silver and black. Despite its compact size, the EH1 offers a wide range of output options and simple button and dial operation, making it the ideal compact DAC/AMP for any desk setup.
