The Demonfx TS RED is an evolved TS-type overdrive designed for modern players, featuring a traditional TS9-style sound along with an internal switch for selecting a 'Modified Mode.' In normal mode, it reproduces the sharp, edge-driven sound characteristic of the TS9, with punchy midrange suitable for cutting and riffs. By toggling the mini switch inside the circuit board, you can switch to an extended mode inspired by the Keeley Mod. This mode offers a wider range, deeper mid-low frequencies, and a glossy high end, significantly improving sound clarity for solos and leads. The pedal features true bypass, preserving the nuances of the original tone, and can be used both as a clean tone booster and as a main distortion pedal. It pairs especially well with clean solid-state amps like the JC-120, challenging the preconception that TS-type overdrives are only for tube amps.

Differences from TS GREEN: TS GREEN is a classic TS808-style pedal emphasizing sweet, natural midrange, suitable for natural boosts and crunch sounds. In contrast, TS RED provides more distortion than TS GREEN and includes a multi-functional extended mode (Keeley-style) with more punch. TS GREEN is ideal for natural boosts and crunch, while TS RED is geared toward modern settings and lead sounds. Both are part of the TS family but serve different purposes and character.
