The first solo photo book from architectural photographer Tsuyoshi Yamagishi! Since the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, Yamagishi has been photographing primarily in the Tohoku region for eight years, and continues to do so to this day. He has documented the clash between architecture, the cutting edge of artificiality, and the forces of nature in every phase, from the immediate aftermath of the disaster to the ongoing "reconstruction" process. Taken not digitally but on 4x5 film, the roughly 200 photographs are presented in A4 double-page spreads, showcasing vivid textures and stunning resolution. Yamagishi, a photographer garnering attention in the architectural world, has dedicated his entire career to this photo book, breaking new ground in "architectural photography.
