how to install ? Make sure the MPU (Magnetic Pickup) is installed correctly. Unscrew and pull out the magnetic pickup located near the engine flywheel Check the magnetic tip and make sure it is clean and free of debris. Screw in the MPU until the tip touches the top of the flywheel teeth. Back the magnetic pickup 1/2 to 3/4 turn. Turn the ten-turn potentiometer five to seven turns clockwise, or until you feel a slight click, representing the full span of the potentiometer. Start the genset and you will notice the overspeed calibration LED illuminate. Slowly turn the potentiometer counterclockwise until the LED just goes off. Once the LED goes off, start slowly turning the potentiometer back clockwise until the LED starts blinking. The engine interface module is a sealed engine mounted module that provides switching relays for the starter motor solenoid, glow plug and fuel solenoid. Each of these circuits is protected by individual automatic fuses mounted in the module.
