The Peach Drop is a durable, all-around folding umbrella with a large 65cm rib that is both water-repellent and wind-resistant. The Peach Drop features a super water-repellent fabric with a slightly brushed surface that instantly sheds water droplets, just like the skin of a peach, repelling water droplets. "Super water-repellent" is generally defined as "the phenomenon in which water droplets contact a surface at a contact angle of approximately 150°." The Peach Drop measured a contact angle of 153°, and the fabric's water-repellent properties ensure that water droplets maintain a surface tension similar to that of a bead.
Another feature is its highly durable water-repellent properties. In water-repellent tests conducted by a testing institute, the water-repellent properties were measured at the highest rank of Grade 5 before washing. They maintained Grade 4 after 40 washes, and even after 50 washes, Grade 3 water-repellency was maintained. After 50 washes, the fabric was treated with hot air and re-tested, and the water-repellent properties were restored to the same level as after five washes. Even after the water-repellent properties have decreased, applying heat will restore the function, allowing the fabric to be used for a long time while maintaining its water-repellent properties.
The ribs are made of thick, durable, and flexible fiberglass, allowing it to easily deflect wind. The eight-rib structure and large 65cm size provide excellent protection from wind and rain (tested at wind speeds of 12m/s). The zipper on the side of the case makes it easy to store and carry.
Another key feature is the carabiner, which makes it easy to attach to a bag or hook. It uses a "safety stopper" that prevents fingers or nails from getting pinched, so you can open and close it with just a push of the button, making it safe to use. All colors offer a UV blocking rate of over 90%, making it a "sun and rain umbrella" that can be used all year round, on both rainy and sunny days. UV blocking rate: BK 99.9%, NV 99.8%, GY 99.6%
