Each statue has been lovingly carved by a skilled sculptor with advanced traditional carving techniques. When you gaze upon the statue's face, you will feel the Buddha's great compassion and naturally find peace of mind.
Nyorai is one of the ten names given to Shakyamuni in Buddhism. It means "one who has attained the wisdom of knowing everything (like the ancient Buddha)."
It can also be enjoyed as an Oriental art. It is not only a source of comfort, but also a suitable piece to display as an interior decoration or as a piece of Oriental art.
This is a wooden Buddha statue carved from China (the principal image of the Soto, Rinzai, and Tendai sects). Its size makes it suitable for everyday use, whether as a Buddhist altar principal image, a talisman to ward off evil, or a tasteful piece of interior decor. By keeping it close to you, you will feel the Buddha's mercy and blessings. Use it to create a warm and inviting space.

Product Information: Series: Guardian Buddha Material: Boxwood (also known as dogwood) Delivered in a special presentation box. Measurements are made by hand, so slight variations (within 1 cm) may occur. Two sizes are available: 10 cm and 13 cm in height. Boxwood, with its fine grain and beautiful pale yellow color, has long been considered a luxury item ideal for crafts. The Buddha was so named because of his origins in the Shakya tribe in what is now Nepal. He was born to King Shuddhodana of this country and Lady Maya of the neighboring Koliya tribe. Lady Maya died seven days after his birth, and he was raised by his sister, Makahajadai (who later became the first Buddhist nun). Raised as a prince, the Buddha married his cousin, Princess Yashodhara, at the age of 19. They had three children, one of whom, Lagora, became one of Shakyamuni's ten great disciples. There are various theories about the year of his birth, but in Japan it is often considered to be 463 BC. Shakyamuni was born on April 8th (the day of the Buddhist tradition in Northern Buddhism) in Lumbini Garden, where his wife Maya was resting on her way to her parents' home to give birth. He then took seven steps in each direction, east, west, north, and south, and said, "I am the only one in heaven and earth who will remove all the suffering that fills the world."
