Product Introduction
A meticulously crafted, forged classic grill pan forged from a single sheet of iron. Founded in 1857 by skilled blacksmith Albert-Karl Turk, Turk & Co. maintains its factory in the heart of Germany's ironworks manufacturing center, continuing to produce grill pans using the same methods for over 150 years.
Turk grill pans, forged by heating a block of iron at high temperatures, are a Zakka Works original product featuring grips on both hands. They can be used for oven dishes such as gratins and roasted meats, as well as dishes with sauces like sukiyaki.
Compared to Teflon-coated pans, they offer superior heat conductivity and heat retention, bringing out the full flavor of ingredients for delicious results. They are also highly durable and robust, resisting deterioration even with dry heating. The more you use them, the better they become, improving cooking performance and developing a richer patina.
Seasoning is easy. First, lightly wash with detergent, then evenly coat the grill pan with oil and sauté vegetable scraps (such as potatoes and carrots) with a teaspoon of salt. Seasoning is complete when the vegetables are cooked through and the bottom of the grill pan starts to turn black.
Due to being handmade, the size may differ from the stated size.

●A seamless, one-piece frying pan forged from a solid block of iron (pig iron) by repeatedly heating it at high temperatures. Recommended for simple grilling dishes that bring out the natural flavors of ingredients such as meat, fish, vegetables, and pancakes.
●Albert-Karl Turk, a skilled blacksmith, founded Turk GmbH in 1857. Located in the Ruhr region, a center of iron product manufacturing in Germany, the factory continues to produce classic frying pans through generations of craftsmen who have inherited the techniques. Forged frying pans, made by heating a solid block of iron (pig iron) until it glows red and repeatedly hammering it, are strong and seamless, and with proper care, can be used for generations. Excellent heat distribution and heat retention allow for slow and stable cooking that fully brings out the flavors of the ingredients. Even thick cuts of meat maintain their temperature well and evaporate moisture effectively, resulting in steaks that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Vegetables retain their crispness, and omelets, pancakes, and toast are cooked evenly with a perfect golden-brown color. Each frying pan is handcrafted by artisans, giving it a rugged and robust appearance, but it becomes more familiar and develops a richer patina with use, becoming more beautiful as the iron surface ages.
