From the Box-ya Selection kitchen series, designed to blend seamlessly into your life and grow on you, comes a Banko ware mortar and pestle.
This revolutionary mortar solves the biggest problem with traditional mortars.
Freshly ground sesame seeds are delicious, but the biggest problem with traditional mortars is cleaning them afterward. Sesame seeds get stuck in the grooves, and the most troublesome part is having to remove them with a toothpick or wash the mortar repeatedly.
This mortar is a revolutionary item that eliminates the grooves.
The reason it grinds so well despite the lack of grooves is the rough texture of the inside.
Utilizing the rough texture of the coarse clay, it smoothly grinds ingredients.
Furthermore, the large base prevents wobbling when grinding ingredients with force, allowing for stable grinding, and its compact size allows it to be served directly at the table.
Because it can be served without transferring to another dish, it's convenient as you can use the ground sesame seeds and other ingredients without wasting any. You can make and serve spinach with sesame dressing or tofu salad directly from this mortar and pestle set.
It's also very useful during the weaning period, when you're doing a lot of chopping and grating.
Because hygiene is so important when preparing baby food, you want to keep your cooking utensils clean too.
By eliminating grooves, it prevents food from getting stuck in the gaps, making it more hygienic and saving time on household chores.
The included pestle is made from domestically produced Kiso cypress wood.
The pestle is the perfect length and thickness to match the mortar and pestle, allowing for efficient grinding.
The simple and beautiful design, which makes the most of the warmth of the ceramic, is perfect for Scandinavian and natural-style rooms.
